Having secured a degree in Hotel Management, she worked as a hotel manager for various international hotel chains including The Marriott and The ShangriLa Group in Singapore. In 1997, Louise set up a consultancy firm in Hong Kong providing training solutions for service-related industries. She found her niche in Shanghai in 2001 when she set up  Link Consultants , one of the city’s pioneer consultancy firms for the hospitality industry. Since then she has branched out to co-found Thread – disclosing her pearls of wisdom to Shanghai’s business world.

Ben Weldon, Creative Director

Brit-boy Ben started out designing and building websites in London, as a designer he worked his way up through a media agency there until escaping in 2004. Leaving London and  freelancing  to fund his travels he’s gained valuable experience working on print and web design and development for a string of companies worldwide. His roster of clients ranged from Reuters News, Australia’s Liberal Party, and even Disney. He can channel his design expertise into any form of media advertising, but his forte lies in his passion for the internet.

Evelyn Hussain, Art Director

Evelyn has a most colourful and varied background in design that began accidentally when she started designing promotional posters and flyers while a music promoter back in her homeland, Singapore. She magically teleported to Shanghai 4 years ago, she embarked on a journey that took her not only into the galaxy of freelancing, but also through the milky way of large multi-national advertising agencies like Grey Worldwide and JWT. As such, she has been given the opportunity to cut her creative teeth and handle accounts as varied as a Chinese take-out menu - ranging from home and office furnishings like Bungalow 5 and Haworth, to automotive clients such as Ford, while still having time to promote the music that began her journey all those years ago.
