Creating The Iora
Originally designed as a concept for a 5 star hotel, meet The Iora, inspired by the vibrant and colorful birds that call Bali home. We wanted to bring the beauty and energy of these tropical creatures into every aspect of this new brand.
We love this restaurant concept. Sometimes though (especially these past few years ), things don’t quite go as planned! Though it hasn’t seen the light of day, are pleased to be able to share it with you regardless! (Luckily we own the copyright) It’s also for sale, should you want a ready-to-go, fully developed concept.

The Iora lives in the heart of Bali, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildlife. We wanted to make our tagline come alive;
"Flying above the ordinary"
Bali is such an extraordinary place, one can only imagine what those birds see every day. This branding reflects the natural beauty while also infusing a sense of sophistication and playfulness. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from vintage illustrations of birds, incorporating intricate details and bold colors into our designs, for a modern yet natural twist.
One of the main elements of our branding is the color palette. We chose a range of bright and bold hues, including vibrant and deep greens, as well as yellows.
Those colors are blended into our birds illustrations. They showcase the unique features and attitudes of different bird species, adding a playful and whimsical element to our branding. Oversized in our restaurant, they had playfulness the premium interior design.
The Common Iora (Aegithina tiphia)

Known for their loud whistles that can be heard echoing through the trees. Male Ioras are known to perform elaborate displays where they fluff up their feathers and spiral in the air, creating a captivating display of green, black, yellow, and white.
We draw inspiration from the beauty and energy of the Iora, we wanted to capture the vibrancy and playfulness of these birds in every aspect of the brand, from the colorful decor to menu offerings.
